Villa Nota Pisani

Located on Via Borgonuovo, near the San Carlo district, stands what was once the residence of the noble Lefebvre family, prominent industrialists of the time

Villa Nota Pisani

This building, with its distinctive and unique architectural style, was constructed in the early 19th century, reflecting the prevailing French architectural style of the period. Its dormers, spires, and pointed roofs are clear evidence of this influence. The villa was commissioned by Charles Lefebvre, Count of Balsorano, who came to Italy following the Napoleonic campaigns. In 1816, he founded the paper mill that bore his name in Isola del Liri, marking the beginning of the region's significant industrial development. The nearby neighborhood was named San Carlo in his honor as well. Later, the villa became the residence of Ernesto Lefebvre, Charles's son and hosted several illustrious guests, including King Ferdinand II of Bourbon.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the property was purchased by the knight Antonio Pisani and was eventually inherited by its current owners, the Nota family.
