The Valcatoio Waterfall, formed by the right branch of the Liri River, is less imposing than the Cascata Grande, partly because its waters are controlled and channeled to feed a hydroelectric power plant. Unlike the Cascata Grande, its drop is not entirely vertical. Instead, it descends along an inclined plane of about 160 meters, with a total height of 27 meters and a gradient of approximately 17 percent.
