Now largely restored and reconverted, it appeared in the late 1970s as the result of the numerous stratifications implemented on the pre-existing industrial premises since the early decades of the 19th century.
In the early 19th century, two mills stood on the site, one on each bank of the river. These were purchased by the French entrepreneur Roessinger, who established a wool mill and a pulp factory. After his death, his heirs converted the wool mill into a paper mill. By 1899, industrial statistics listed the factory as one of the most advanced in terms of mechanization, thanks to its state-of-the-art equipment and hydraulic-powered engine. However, the post-unification economic crisis, caused by the end of state protectionism, severely impacted Roessinger’s factory. Further damage from the 1915 earthquake left the mill partially destroyed. In 1922, it was sold to Emilio Boimond Junior, a wealthy entrepreneur who undertook its reconstruction, equipping the facility with new machinery. Among the innovation was a modern 60-meter-long and 3-meter-wide "paper machine."
The factory remained in full expansion until World War II, becoming one of the most significant industrial sites in the Media Valle dei Liri, second only to the plant owned by the Meridionale Paper Mill Company.
